Piecemeal: The Voodoo Lizard Boy Reference Sheet

This was a OC design I commissioned from SpaceBearr, I'm a fan of her gross art and I was looking for another OC of mine I could write about so she was my first (and definitely best) choice for the job. He turned out great! Please check her profile out whenever. ^^

Age: 25 years old

Birth Date: March 5th

Abilities: Years of dwelling and observing the local witch doctors from the secrecy of the Haitian jungles has allowed Piecemeal to learn various voodooism methods of which he uses in the dolls he creates. Those captured by him will have some of their blood drawn and coat the dolls he crafts so that they’re completely at their master’s mercy.

Likes: Humans (as the food and materials he views them as to satisfy his needs), doll making for either his slaves or for leisure, sense of control and superiority over others, his custom human finger necklace, beautiful artwork he steals and furnishes his lair with.

Dislikes: Humans (in general, whenever they disobey his commands and fail to meet his expectations), recollecting the day of his supposed sacrifice, attempts of unmasking him and signs of curiosity to his face, slowness in animals and people alike.

Personality: A demented, violent creature, Piecemeal has grown to be malevolent to any human he encounters ever since he was outcasted from society and hunted by the haitian populace. By staying hidden in the jungle he happened upon a witch doctor tribe whose abilities to practice dark magic and revenge spells turned Piecemeal into a delusional control freak who desired the power the doctors possessed.

Habitat: The outskirts of the Haitian jungle.

Origin: A feared witch who was known for kidnapping young children and able-bodied men for her experiments of where she’d attempt to fuse man with any of the jungle wildlife she could get hold of. Her latest experiment consisted of a young 23 year old farmhand named Ricardo and an unusual splice of a epicrates boa, rhinoceros iguana, and crocodile. With Ricardo’s disappearance and with enough evidence to tie the witch with the recent kidnappings from the village, the community became enraged and formed a mob where they’d relentless hunt down the witch and dispense the justice they believe she deserved. Two weeks after hunt was organized the mob found and burnt down the witch’s hut as she was inside asleep. As they stood before the house, believing the witch and all of her abominations were destroyed and rid of, the villagers were unaware that the witch was succesfully in creating the hybrid. What was now known as Piecemeal by his creator, he managed to escape the hut once aware of the mob’s presence. Now that he was free, he attempted to return to the village to reunite with his family but upon arriving the villagers were shocked and attacked him, addressing him as one of the witch’s abominations that managed to survive. The assault escalated, the mob reformed and chased Piecemeal and lost him  the wilderness before Ricardo’s father shot him in the chest with a rifle. Piecemeal’s thick scales managed  to stop the bullet short from reaching his heart but left a horrible scar. Unable to ever return to the village, Piecemeal retreated, finding himself to roam endlessly and live off the wilderness. He was forced to live on small reptiles, rats, and carrion, constantly suffered from fevers and was haunted by nightmares of his transformation by the witch and his people’s attempt of taking his life. He emerged from the jungle after six months with a radically instinct driven personality, lost his humanity as he now identified as one of the jungle’s reptiles, diminished mental capacity and permanent hallucinations. He eventually happened upon a witch doctor tribe who he curiously studied for weeks. Learning that they practiced voodooism which they used against their enemies and those who intrude their land. Piecemeal became amazed of their power and fantasized of how he could bend humanity under his will if he learned enough of it. One night he made his move and snuck into the tribe’s village, slaughtering them all in their sleep and eating few of the corpses he left behind, tired of the jungle’s animals. Piecemeal found their taste to be quite palatable...and addicting. Now that the tribespeople were out of the way, he gathered an understanding and can utilize voodooism, along with developing a new taste for human flesh, Piecemeal now resides in a hidden lair where no human in the jungle is safe from his magic.
